VERY OLD :: One of my first Sci-Fi 3D Scenes

My actual work: A semi cyberpunk themed cityscape which combines oriental elements with traditional science fiction.

The scene shows a small part of the downtown area of the industrialized spaceport of "New Mekka". Finally mankind had to colonize space to find and harvest new resources - because they have been depleted on earth. Most of them still have to be refined directly at the ports, so nearly all spaceports include complex refineries, which grew through the cities like ivy.

Working process: Drawing sketch with pencil -> Digitized it with 3D Studio Max 2009, VRay 1.5 SP2 -> post production done in Photoshop CS4.
